Our story
Built by a family that runs a pet hotel
We own The Cat Hotel in Johannesburg, an 80-unit cats-only hotel run as a family business with no admin staff. Every person on the team spends their day caring for cats.
That only works because we built our own software, Petwyse, to handle bookings, deposits, vaccination records and reminders. And we kept hearing the same question from our guests: "We're moving to Cape Town / London / Dubai. Who would you trust there?"
Pet Hotel Services is our answer. It is a guide to places that treat boarding as a holiday for the pet: their own space, people on site, light and quiet, and owners who can see how they are doing. Not rows of concrete kennels.
How we rank listings
We run a pet hotel ourselves, so we want to be clear about how this directory works:
- Every pet hotel can list for free, and a free listing is never hidden or pushed down to sell something.
- Listings are ordered by: Featured (always labelled), then Verified (the owner has claimed and confirmed it), then how complete the listing is (photos, rates), then name.
- Using Petwyse never changes where a hotel appears. Hotels on Petwyse show a "Book online" button because their availability is live.
- Our own hotel follows exactly the same rules.
