We Built It Because We Needed It
The Booking Nightmare (2009 – 2019)
The Linden Cat Hotel, owned by Moira, quickly grew to a point where a pen-and-paper system was breaking. We ended up using a boutique hotel system that gave us the great interface and customer management, but it wasn’t built for a pet hotel. We tried a few of the leading solutions for pet care facilities, but missed the boutique hotel interface and they still didn’t meet our needs. Frustrated, we eventually decided to build our own software on a leading low code platform.
The DIY Confidence and The Build
(2020 - 2023)
Before software, we faced the same hurdle with our website – a professional developer gave us a static brochure. Paul, then a Financial Analyst, used his spare time to build our successful site on WordPress. That success gave us the confidence to tackle the software problem. After finding that pet care software competitors like Revelation Pets lacked the required flexibility and clean dashboard, we decided to build our own solution using a low-code platform in 2019. By 2022, the software was seamlessly running our hotel, allowing us to grow the business, but retain the levels of service that our customers had come to expect. We have over 220 5 star reviews to prove it.
The Global Leap & Strategic Advantage (2024 – Today)
Paul left his career to dedicate his full-time efforts to scaling Petwyse. We built in multi-hotel capability and secured a global foundation via Destiny Digital Consulting LLC (Delaware, USA) and Stripe.
Our strategic base in South Africa allows us to develop and support these sophisticated tools cost-effectively, delivering exceptional value to the US and UK markets.
